Who we are
Buganda Land Board was established to manage that part of estate returned to the Kabaka of Buganda under the Traditional Rulers Restitution of Assets and Properties Act. CAP 247 Laws of Uganda. A 350sq mile estate together with the other properties returned to the Kabaka was handed over to Buganda Land Board. Buganda Land Board therefore manages this land by way of encouraging residents to regularize their tenancy under the existing land laws of Uganda.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUB-DIVISION
- A letter by the Registered Proprietor applying for sub-division stating the number of expected plots and their respective areas. Indicate the intended use for the resulting plots.
- A cadastral sub-division plan showing expected plots and adequate access to each of them.
- A copy of the certificate of title for the plot intended to be sub-divided.
- Passport photographs of the Registered Proprietor. (if they are not on file)
- Sketch directing map to the plot intended to be sub-divided. (if its not on file)
- Pay all ground rent due.
Note: Consent to sub-divide will not be given in case the plot intended to be sub-divided is small plot.
A sub-division consent fee is payable after approving the application.Cost of the sub-division survey is met by the applicant. Ground rent is reviewed and paid separately for each of the resulting plots.
A CANCELLED LEASE OFFER
- Pay application, inspection and processing fee shs. 95,000/=.
- Write the Secretary, Buganda Land Board requesting for a new lease offer.
