The Managing Director, Mr. Kyewalabye Male addressing the Rotarians
The BLB Managing Director, Kyewalabye Male has informed the Provisional Rubaga Rotary club that the Board now operates as a one stop centre in land management and hence can offer different professional services to all land owners in Uganda.
Speaking as the chief guest at Jevine Hotel in Lubaga recently, Male emphasized that BLB has been a hub of innovations and professionalism in securing tenancy which includes the modern palm vein system of cubing land fraudulent transactions which is now applied to ensure security on people’s property.
Mr. Kyewalabye explained to the Rotarians the leasing process as carried out on Kabaka’s land which is under the Buganda Land Board jurisdiction and the benefits of regularizing one’s tenancy. He made specific clarifications on what mandate BLB has in title processing, pointing out the fact that the certificates of titles are produced by the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
He cited the 2010 land amendment act which implicates the transaction on one’s kibanja minus the landlord’s consent being illegal urging whoever is interested to take precautions.
The Managing Director also unveiled plans to start collecting busuulu starting 1st/02/2017 in accordance with the law together with the forthcoming Mayembegambogo and Ssentema low cost housing projects which will provide good and well planned accommodation.
The Rotarians present commended Buganda Land Board’s level of efficiency and advanced technology in innovations and also had a chance to have their different land matters addressed.
