Buganda Land Board officials looking at documents they brought to prove ownership of the contested land.
The ministry of lands through the commissioner of Lands announced yesterday that all land titles that were created on block 369 in Golomolo ,Kyaggwe had been revoked and directed owners of such titles to return them for cancellation.
Among the revoked land titles is Minister Ronald Kibuule's land title he has been holding on the said land. Kibuule has been holding an 80 acre land title.
The revocation of the titles came as a result of a land title cancellation hearing which was conducted at the ministry. The hearing was conducted by Mr Joseph Kibande.
Mr. Kibande ruled that the land which Kibuule and others had gotten a land title on belonged to the Namasole of Buganda and is part of the estate which was returned to Buganda in 1993 as a result of the Traditional leaders act f 1993, thus revoking the titles.
Mr.Kibande delivering his ruling where he cancelled Kibuule's land title.
Residents of Golomolo celebrated the ruling and thanked Buganda Land Board for saving them from eviction by those who had gotten fake land titles on the land.
Mr.Denis Bugaya, the spokesperson of Buganda Land Board welcomed the ruling and added that the board will now go after other fake titles which were gotten on another official mailo estate which belongs to Buganda in Kigaya.
