Buganda Land Board is a body which was formed by the Kabaka of Buganda
His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II to manage that part of the estate returned to him under the Restitution of Restoration Act 1993.
A 350sq mile estate together with the other properties was handed over to Buganda Land Board to manage.

Buganda Land Board therefore manages this land by way of encouraging tenants to regularize their tenancy on Kabaka's land under the established land laws of Uganda. Buganda Land Board in its efforts of managing, securing, accessing and tracking its land records, it introduced the Department of Information and Communication Technology.

It has been noted that some people who own Kabaka's land are outside Uganda but they have caretakers. Buganda Land Board wants to provide information to all those people who are not in Uganda through this website. We have a contact page which shows BLB's contact and how you can get information about your land back in Uganda.

You will know whether the caretaker pays all the ground rent promptly as you send it. If you want to make an inquiry about your land, you will be able to contact BLB on line. One will be able to know the developments in Buganda Land Board plus the people running it and Buganda at large.
Buganda Land Board is the first land lord in Uganda to computerize its land with all its registered tenants.

That is why we thought that we have to continue with our being the first land lord to construct a Website to provide information to its customers especially those in the Diaspora.
We anticipate this will improve our relationship with our tenants and all stakeholders of land in Buganda and Uganda at large.
